ID Theft Seminar

Almost 10 million Americans become victims of identity theft each year. I became a victim in 2001. I've researched identity theft extensively to protect myself and help others. I want to help you avoid this nightmare.

Your odds of becoming a victim are greatly reduced with knowledge, awareness, and detection. Take action now to avoid becoming the next identity theft victim.

Identity Theft Quick Reference

Fraud Alert on Credit Report

Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion share fraud alert notices . Contact any one of these credit bureau numbers to submit a fraud alert and the alert will automatically be sent to the other two bureaus.

The fraud alert expires in 90 days. Plan to renew it every 90 days (for free). That's what the ID theft insurance companies do. You may request another 90-day fraud alert or an active duty alert by submitting a new request within 30 days of your current alert expiring.

Contact Info For Fraud Alerts

Innovis does not share fraud alerts with the other credit bureaus. You'll have to submit a separate fraud alert with them. Call 1-800-540-2505 Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. ET

Submit an online security alert with ChexSystemsSM

Banks will be notified of the security alert each time they inquire about you. This may keep your thief from opening a checking account in your name.

This will keep unsolicited, pre-approved credit cards out of your mailbox. Your junk mail will be reduced too.

Free annual credit reports

You can order all three at once, but it's wiser to order a different report at four month intervals. Order your spouse's credit reports two months after you order each of yours.

(Don't confuse this with other web sites that claim to offer 'free credit reports'. Some sites claim a free service that automatically converts to a monthly fee if you don't cancel your membership after a trial period.)
