Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion share fraud alert notices. Contact any one of these credit bureau numbers to submit a fraud alert and the alert will automatically be sent to the other two bureaus.
The fraud alert expires in 90 days. Plan to renew it every 90 days (for free). That's what the ID theft insurance companies do. You may request another 90-day fraud alert or an active duty alert by submitting a new request within 30 days of your current alert expiring. |

Office.
The new IRS Identity Protection Specialized Unit will take actions to mark the affected accounts so that identity theft issues may be resolved more quickly and reduce the burden of resolving any related issues in future years. |
